Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 18, 2026

The short version:

• Your PCARS file is read entirely in your browser. It is never uploaded, transmitted, or stored by us.

• Anything you type into the tool is saved only on your own device, and you can erase it anytime with "Clear my data."

• We only receive information you deliberately send us: a waitlist email (if you join) or a feedback message (if you write us).

• We never sell your information. Ever.

Who we are

DutyDays (dutydays.com) is an independent, informational tool operated by an individual based in North Carolina, United States ("we," "us"). It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official product of the Department of Defense, U.S. Air Force, Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve, or National Guard Bureau.

Your military records never reach us

When you upload a Point Credit Summary (PCARS) PDF, the file is opened and read entirely within your web browser on your own device, using client-side software. The file's contents are never transmitted to our servers or to any third party by us. When you close or reload the page, the file is gone from memory. We could not look at your PCARS if we wanted to — the tool is built so that it never leaves your possession.

Information stored on your device

To save you from re-typing your schedule on return visits, the tool stores your entries (dates, point totals, selections) in your browser's local storage. This data lives only on your device — it is not synced, transmitted, or visible to us. You can erase it at any time using the "Clear my data" link on the site, or by clearing your browser's site data.

Information we do collect

How we share information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate (such as web hosting, analytics, and email delivery providers), and only as needed for them to provide those services — or if required by law.

Data retention and deletion

Waitlist emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Feedback emails are kept as long as needed to address them. To request deletion of anything you've sent us, email feedback@dutydays.com and we'll take care of it.

Children

DutyDays is intended for members of the U.S. military community and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date above. Material changes (for example, if a future feature stores data differently) will be noted prominently on the site.

Terms of Use

Effective date: July 18, 2026

Informational tool only

DutyDays provides estimates and informational summaries based on the numbers and dates you provide, interpreted against publicly available guidance (including DAFMAN 36-2136 and PCARS definitions). It is not official military guidance, not legal advice, and not a substitute for your official records or your unit's personnel offices. Your PCARS, MilPDS record, and unit CSS/FSS/MPF are the authorities on your participation status, points, and requirements — always verify with them before acting.

Beta software

DutyDays is currently in beta. Calculations may contain errors, regulations change, and individual circumstances (such as AFTPs, partial years, point caps, or unique unit arrangements) may not be fully handled. Known limitations are listed on the site.

No warranty; limitation of liability

The tool is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or consequence arising from use of, or reliance on, the tool — including missed requirements, unsatisfactory participation findings, point discrepancies, or retirement credit issues. Responsibility for meeting military participation requirements remains yours.

Acceptable use

Don't attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer for malicious purposes, or misrepresent the tool as an official military system. Don't submit anyone's records but your own.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
